Hello luvs! I hope you are all doing well. We are continuing with the October series, and I have decided to be Leeloo for this year's Halloween! Last year, I had so much fun as Morticia, but Morticia is a look that I have done several times, even in real life, so I was very comfortable creating that character. I have never done Leeloo before, so this was a fun challenge.
I chose to do one of the iconic scenes and photo shots from the movie "The Fifth Element." It was when Leeloo, played by Mila Jovovich, escaped, was chased by high authorities, and jumped off a ledge. Her wardrobe was designed by the legendary designer of the time, Jean Paul Gaultier. This outfit, in particular, really made Mila a fashion icon.
Now, I had yet to determine if I could do these shots or not in Second Life. So, as usual, I researched to see if a pose was ever made of this iconic shot. Amazingly enough, someone has made them, and I was able to purchase them in the SL Marketplace. The outfit I was able to buy during the last Cyber Event that we just recently had. I was so surprised at how detailed and well-made this outfit was. Kudos to Kiu for creating it.
For the location, I was concerned if I could find a place to do the jump shot. Let's face it, most sims I have been to that I wanna do a photo in don't let us fly around. And for this shot, I need to be on top of a high building. I came across a post on Flickr that showed a sim dedicated to the movie Bladerunner, and the sim was perfect!
When I do a project like this, it takes a lot of work, time, and dedication to perfect the look and shot. I love what I do, and I hope you love how this turned out. <3
