I was reminded of something the other day by a sweet friend, Manon, who is one of the owner and a caretaker of La P'tite Provence, my second home and my favorite sim here in SL. I was looking for a spot to take a picture with my outfit, and I was walking the grounds, and I stumbled upon her as she was building. I told her why I was walking around, and so she invited me to walk around with her to show me where she had been building and adding to the sim. While walking, we enjoyed chatting and admiring the beautiful view. Then, she wanted to show me a spot she thought I might want to take a picture of. I was shocked at where we ended up. She had me stand atop the hill, at the orchard, overlooking my home below. My mouth opened as I saw the lighthouse, the water and beach before me. She said, "This is my favorite view of the whole sim. It is where you can see the sunset from one end to the next." It's the only spot in the sim where you can see that. And it is where my house sits. As I stood on top of the hill, I remembered why I chose this Cabin. She said, Often, we don't take the time to look at what's around us. I agree. We need to relish more about what we have. This place, I decorated it minimally, but I think I will finally start nesting and really embrace the place I chose as my home. I hope you also have a space like this in game. <3
